  • List the daily tasks you can do on your own, including vital signs, transfers, tube feeding and medicine schedules.
  • Show that you finished your contracts. Employers abroad look closely at how long you stayed with each family.
  • Put Caregiving NC II and first aid training with their dates, and add the languages you can speak for the country you are applying to.

Common questions

Is Caregiving NC II required to work abroad as a caregiver?+

Most agencies and destination countries ask for it, and some also require language or skills tests of their own. Check the requirements for the country you are applying to.

How do I write a caregiver resume with no experience?+

Lead with your Caregiving NC II training and the hours of your practicum or OJT, then any time you cared for a family member. Say what conditions you handled and what tasks you did.

Should I include personal details like age and civil status?+

For local jobs, leave them out unless asked. Overseas agencies often use a biodata form that asks for age, height, weight and civil status, so follow the form the agency gives you.
